Package Design for Honey

As the final project in our Multimedia Publishing class, we were tasked to make-up a product and create a package design for that product. I chose to make a box-type packaging for a honey brand and named it "Oh! Beehive" after the Austin Powers quote "Oh behave!" The color palette I chose consisted of two different shades of orange, which mimics the natural colors of honey, and a bluish black to contrast with the orange and to represent the black stripe seen in honey bees. Oh! Beehive's product logo is that of a smiling honey bee, it serves as the company's mascot and is made to attract people with its charming design. As the face of Oh! Beehive, the bee also aims to exude warmth to reflect the company's core values, which us to provide quality honey to everyone at affordable prices. The main design elements seen on the whole packaging is that of dripping honey, while the imagery on the front of the box are that of a honey comb, flower petals, and flowing honey. The company logo of Oh! Beehive is a side-facing bee housed in a hexagon that stands for a honeycomb cell. When folded, the box is 3 inches wide and 7 inches tall.
